A Toy Form Model of 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Unveiled
The most anticipated 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible has been revealed, but as of now in a toy form! Although it is impossible to get a test drive in this 1:43 scaled 21st Century Beetle Convertible, we can however get an idea about the making of the car. The 2013 Beetle Convertible is yet another car which is unveiled just before time through the world of toy car models. The images of the toy car model were apparently posted on Schuco Modell’s website and listed as a “Dealer Edition 1/43 2013 VW Beetle Cabriolet Convertible”, and was discovered by Carscoop.
The model gives us a few details of the car, like the fact that the Beetle Cabriolet will be a 2+2 seater. The images of the model reveals, that the Cabriolet will follow the footsteps of the 2012 Beetle coupe with a longer, less arched roofline than the outgoing model. The overall styling is more muscular than the previous models but definitely not aggressive as the Chevy Camaro convertible or other competent against with which the upper trim levels of the Cabriolet will be priced. The Beetle Cabriolet will also have a bench seat in the back, which can be used during short trips.
The entry models of new Cabriolet is set to be boosted by a 170 horsepower version of the 2.5-liter five, whereas the more up level Beetle Cabriolets will be accessible with either a 200 horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four or a 140 horsepower 2.0-liter TDI turbo-diesel. The turbocharged gas engine will be equipped with a limited slip front differential. The all three engines will be offered six-speed manual and six-speed dual clutch automatic transmissions. The roof is absent in the new Cabriolet unlike the previous models. The new 2013 Volkswagen is anticipated to go on sale in United States later this year. Pricing of the model has not been announced so far.
