2012 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Will Debut at Geneva Motor Show Next Month
Aston Martin’s entry-level V8 Vantage and its Roadster version will debut next month at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show alongside the stunning V12 Zagato. Both cars have been updated for the latest model year and bring with them new styling, more power and a whole lot of additional features. The base V8 Vantage still consists of a 4.7-liter V-8 but the vehicle’s output has been raised to 430 horsepower and 361 pound-feet of torque. Other enhancements include quicker steering, bigger brakes and wider tires all fitted to enhance the vehicle’s dynamics.
The V8 Vantage’s chassis has also got a few items from the Vantage S and is capable of 0-60 mph acceleration in just 4.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 190 mph. The standard six-speed manual transmission remains, but the optional six-speed Sportshift automated manual transmission has now been replaced with a seven-speed Sportshift II. Visually setting apart the new model are revised bumpers featuring an aerodynamic splitter and integrated diffuser.
The latest Vantage S also gets a few subtle updates, like carbon fiber detailing, a unique exhaust system and more luxury in the cabin. The revised V8 Vantage together with the rest of the range will be available to order following their debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
