2012 Geneva Motor Show: GranTurismo Sport Shines at the Swiss Auto Expo
With the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in full swing, the automakers continue to showcase best of their models with all enhanced performance and styling. Following the same league is the Italian luxury car manufacturer Maserati who brings to Switzerland its much talked about GranTurismo Sport.
Ready to take the place of its predecessor the GranTurismo S, Maserati GranTurismo Sport has been refurbished inside out. The exteriors receive a noteworthy revamp in form of a mild facelift, freshly designed headlamps, taillamps and front bumper and finally the Blu Sofisticato body paint. Also keeping the interiors interesting are the new seats, a revised steering wheel and aluminum pedals. While the car rides on 20-inch alloy wheels , amongst the other highlights are the Brembo brakes, the Poltrona Frau leather upholstery and EcoChrome grey accents.
On the performance front, Maserati GranTurismo Sport hides under its bonnet a 4.7-liter V8 that churn sout 453 horsepower and 384 pound-feet of torque. Maserati is offering its European customers a six-speed automatic manual gearbox, with the U.S. fans only getting the ZF six-speed automatic. Maserati GranTurismo Sport can sprint from zero to 60 in less than 4.7 seconds, hitting a top speed of 186 mph.
