2012 NY Auto Show: Mitsubishi Doles Up 2013 Outlander Sport With New Standard Features
For the 2012 New York Auto Show, Mitsubishi Motors North America has showcased the enhanced and improved 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. The compact crossover utility vehicle (CUV) from the company is brimming with a bunch of new nifty features.
New to the car is a redesigned front bumper section that features new grille styling as well new fog lamp design. Also the rear bumper has been tweaked a little with the side sills now painted black to match the lower sections of the redesigned front & rear bumpers. Complementing the exteriors are the 18-in. alloy wheels now offeredstandard on all on all trim levels for the 2013 model. The five seater CUV from Mitsubishi can be painted in various colors like the White Pearl, Quick Silver Laguna Blue, Labrador Black Pearl, Mercury Gray and Rally Red.
Majorly overhauled 2013 Outlander Sport also gets few interior touch ups in the form of new chrome accent molding for the front doors as well an All Wheel Control (AWC) push button switch. Amongst the mechanical changes are a new multi-link rear suspension to enhance the ride quality and handling and an updated CVT for smoother shifts.
The standard features include leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, cruise control with steering wheel-mounted controls, FUSE Handsfree Link System, remote keyless entry, heated outside mirrors and more. Moving up the ladder to the top-end SE model, the owners also get six-speaker audio system, HID headlights, push button ignition and smart key passive entry.
Mitsubishi has announced that the 2013 Outlander Sport will be manufactured in the United States at the company’s advanced automobile manufacturing facility in America’s heartland in Normal, Illinois.
