Mitsubishi has announced the debut of the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport/ASX at the New York Auto Show on April 4. Even though the Outlander Sport has been on the market since the spring of 2010, the Japanese automakers decided to give it a facelift.

Photos of the 2013 Outlander were not revealed as yet. The image displayed here is that of the 2012 model. Mitsubishi did mention the changes that will add to the new facelifted compact crossover. The major changes feature the new-look front and rear fascias and sills on the outside. Also included is “a host of architecture and accessory improvements” for the interior.

The other major alterations which are going to be done on the 2013 Outlander consists of a series of mechanical upgrades which are a revamped rear suspension and a recalibrated Continuously-Variable Transmission (CVT). So far only this much information has been provided. Further information will be provided at the New York Auto Show next week.
