Alpina BMW B6 Makes Its Way to Frankfurt Motor Show
It isn’t much of a surprise that both car manufacturers and enthusiasts have been pumped up about this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Apart from the already impressive list of vehicles scheduled to make their debut at Frankfurt this year, we now have a new addition to the lineup of Bavarian muscle cars in the form of the Alpina BMW 6-Series, which is expected to breeze through the event without any hesitation.
The 2012 BMW Alpina B6 Biturbo Convertible is packed with enough muscle that can leave its competitors in embarrassment. Having the ability to reach from naught to 60 mph in just 4.8 seconds is no joke. The convertible can generate up to 507 hp and 516 lb. ft of torque, courtesy of its twin-turbo V8 engine. Alpina has confirmed that the vehicle is able to run north of 190 mph. However, they have limited the production version of the de rigeur to 155 mph.
Despite the fact that pricing has not yet been announced, many expect that this will not be anywhere near the 650i convertible’s starting price of $90,500. The vehicle is bound to leave its spectators with their jaws dropped to the floor at the much anticipated event of the year. So, if you’re headed in the direction of the Frankfurt Motor Show, you better watch out for Alpina BMW B6.
