Brilliance To Show “It’s Me” At Beijing Motor Show
BMW’s Chinese partner Brilliance arrives with a new concept aimed at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show - an interestingly looking hatchback. Dubbed ‘Its Me’, the small car seems to have been heavily borrowed from the Alfa Romeo Giulietta — a subcompact automobile manufactured by the Italian car maker Alfa Romeo. The new model debuting at Beijing bears the same features of Italian five-door Alfa Romeo Giulietta, including the headlights, grille shape, side profile and disguised rear door. However, it is not clear whether ‘It’s Me’ is a production car or is just a concept. It will be revealed only at the show.
Besides ‘It’s Me’, Brilliance also plans to debut five more production and concept cars at Beijing Motor Show, which includes the X1-inspired V5 SUV; the Greater China II large luxury sedan concept, the H230, which is similar to the Hyundai i40 in its front-end; and Jinbei Sea Lion, an electric minibus with the styling tweaks of a Toyota HiAce. Brilliance is pretty confident about the new cars they are going to unveil at Beijing. The company promises that the V5 will be a best seller in China’s compact SUV market and the vehicle will be available with all-wheel-drive, cruise control and electronic stability control. Apart from these new releases, the firm that acquired the rights to the platform of the last-generation Saab 9-5, and will reveal its first Saab-based vehicle at the Beijing show.
