The special edition model will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy. The 500 Cabrio Italia is powered by a 1.4 liter Turbo T-Jet engine producing 160 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. The engine is coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission system and the car completes its sprint from rest to 100 km/hr in 7.2 seconds. The car has a top-speed of 211 km/hr. The car has an average fuel economy of 6.5 liters per 100 km in the combined cycle.
The car is covered in a cool Blu Abu Dhabi paintjob. The car features a unique body kit and sits on 17 inch wheels. A dual pipe exhaust system is also another feature of this car. In the interior, there are “Abarth Corsa by Sabelt” seats covered in natural leather. The backrests are made of carbon fiber. The pedals and the knob of the gear lever are made from Alutex aluminum glass fiber material. The dashboard is colored in the same Abu Dhabi Blu color, as that of the exterior.
This will be a limited edition model and only 150 units will be produced by the automaker. The pricing is yet to be announced. Along with the 500 Cabrio Italia Abarth will also premiere another two models, viz. the 695 Competizione and the Punto Super Sport, at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
