Touring Superleggera unveiled the new Touring Bentley Continental Flying Star at the Geneva Motor Show on Tuesday. The new car is a “shooting brake” version of the 2 door coupe. The “shooting brake” version is basically a 2 door coupe converted into a square back hatch profile. Although the concept is not new, it generally generates a lot of interest among car enthusiasts.

Other conversions have been seen in the past, notably the Maserati Cinqueporte, a Quattroporte-based five door car adapting to the shooting brake concept. However, the new Bentley Continental GT takes the concept to an all together new level. This model has triggered the interest of car designers and builders all throughout the world. The car inherits the chassis of the Continental GTC. The 6-liter, W12 engine is available either in the 560 HP version which produces 650 NM of torque at 1600 rpm or the GTC Speed variant which delivers a huge 750Nm from 610 HP. Driving control is smooth even under difficult driving conditions.

The 0 to 60 miles per hour limit can be made in 4.8 seconds and the top speed is a staggering 200 miles per hour. A number of modifications in the external design has been made: extended roof line, a wider section including the doors, new aluminum door skins and a new all-aluminum, electrically operated tailgate.

The customers can opt for specifications in their car, ranging from cabinetry to a diverse range of accessory collection. Reports say that a total of 20 Bentley Continental Flying Stars will be built, each coming with a price tag of $804,000 (or € 590.000).
