Last year, at the Geneva Motor Show Hamann, a German tuning company exposed their HAWK GT Coupe program based on the Mercedes SLS AMG. And this year, Hamann has dressed the Roadster version exactly the same for the Swiss show once again. In spite of losing its wing doors from the coupe, the automobile keeps its bird of prey name. The new Roadster features a wind tunnel tested body kit consists a new front bumper facade with LED lights and enlarged air inlets, along with carbon fiber hood with air vents, side skirts, fender flairs and quarter panels that are 60mm and 70mm wider on each side. The coupe also features a rear bumper fascia with diffuser and carbon fiber wing.

The coupe features a 6.3-liter V8 engine and its performance receives a high-performance stainless steel exhaust system and a sports air filter is used on the intake side. In order to perfectly combine comfort and control, the German tuner uses the single-part, especially light forged wheels “Unique Forged Anodized” in 21 inches. These are fixed in 9Jx21 with tyres measuring 245/30 ZR 21 at the front and 12.5Jx21 with tyres measuring 345/25 ZR 21 at the rear axle. Equipped with four height-adjustable dampers and four progressively wound springs, the centre of gravity can be lowered by up to 30 millimetres.

The coilover kit has been especially refined for the HAMANN HAWK Roadster with four height-adjustable dampers and four progressively wound springs lower the center of gravity by up to 30mm. Wheels are Hamann’s own lightweight forged wheels in 9Jx21 with tires measuring 245/30 ZR 21 at the front and 12.5Jx21 with tires measuring 345/25 ZR 21 at the rear. HAMANN completely redesigns the interior of the SLS and turns it into a VIP lounge with motorsports characteristics. Most delicate leather and ultra-suede, applications and embroideries restore the serial interior. The air inlets, door sill protectors and centre console with red coloured carbon constitute the additional facilities of the coupe.
