Cosworth-Subaru WRX STI to be Revealed at Geneva Motor Show
The world-class automotive engineering giant, Cosworth has collaborated with Subaru to build the highly anticipated Cosworth-Subaru WRX STI, scheduled to be revealed at Geneva Motor Show this year. The legendary English engine tuner, founded in 1958, has had a reputable stint in the Formula One arena, and is planning to rejoin the F1 grid as an engine manufacturer. Cosworth has joined hands with the Japanese stalwart Subaru in a special one-off project to create a staggering result.
Competing against the likes of Porsche 911 GT2 and Lamborghini Murcielago, Cosworth promises to deliver a high-performance product that “will raise the bar for all-wheel-drive, high-performance motoring.” Cosworth’s magnificent engineering expertise is all set to blend in with the already acclaimed Subaru WRX STI. Apart from the engine, Cosworth is also expected to lend its hands to the suspension and body aspects.
The previous Cosworth-operated Subaru models have produced in excess of 415 horsepower. Rumors are rife that the new STI shall have something close to the 500 hp mark to boost its ‘truly staggering’ claim. More specifications and pricing shall become available closer to the car’s launch date in March.
Meanwhile, don’t forget to check out the Subaru STI for sale.
