Citroen DS3 Air Flow Cabriolet Debuts at Paris Motor Show

According to the sources, the new Citroen DS3 Cabriolet — also dubbed as the Citroen DS3 AirFlow — is all set to make its first public appearance at the Paris Motor Show next month. The car was launched three years back, in 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and since then, it is one of the most anticipated models for the automaker. The model is perfect in look and is easy to handle with its unrivalled charm. The most important part is that Citroen has not exploited its new model’s appeal like the MINI (or Fiat with the 500) by flooding the market with endless variations on the theme. But it was sure that one of the models has been in its lineup and it is the DS3 Convertible, which is getting ready for its debut at the Paris Motor Show.

Earlier, it was reported that Citroen plans to uncover its most anticipated model — the DS3 and more details regarding the vehicle was revealed last year. The name —Citroen DS3 AirFlow — was also revealed then. However, the DS3 Cabriolet will be hitting the dealerships as the Citroen DS3 AirFlow, which will reportedly feature a landaulette type folding roof same as the Fiat 500 and the vehicle will run from the windscreen to the back of the car. The prettiness of using a folding cloth sliding top is that the firmness of the vehicle remains without huge structural embellishments, the transformation from tin top to soft top is cheaper to employ and, significantly for a car with a very stylish ’floating’ roof, the profile will change very little.

The Citroen DS3 AirFlow, which is going to make its debut next month, will be ready to go on sale in early 2013 – just in time for spring sunshine. Pricing details have been revealed by the automaker and you can expect the prices around £2k more than the tin top and, ultimately, an array of DS3 Airflows that will cover almost all the current DS3 range, from the 100bhp diesel to the 155bhp petrol.
