Ferrari Finally Reveals Details of Eric Clapton’s Custom Built Model

The official details and images of Eric Clapton’s Ferrari SP12 EC have been revealed finally by the automaker. It is the first time that Ferrari has released the details and images of the car. A custom built model vehicle based on the Ferrari 458 Italia, the Ferrari SP12 EC has been designed and developed by Centro Stile Ferrari in collaboration with Pininfarina. The engineers at Ferrari have built this one-off exotic as a tribute to Clapton’s career and his long-term dedication to the Ferrari brand.

“The world-famous guitar player has been attached to one particular Ferrari model: the 512 BB, of which he has owned three over the years. So his desire was to drive a car inspired by this model, with influences from the multi-award winning 458 Italia. Exclusively in the latest issue of the Ferrari Official Magazine Eric Clapton talks about his passion and how the idea of a one-off car was born,” Ferrari said in a statement.

Eric Clapton expressed his views on the vehicle as he said that the one-off Ferrari was ‘one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever done’.
