Toyota’s bruised memories of its Prius hybrid have not yet been healed as the recall of more than seven million vehicles world-wide and the media’s stern remarks still haunt the Japanese automaker. But as life is all about moving on - Toyota seems to be working on bringing a new hybrid to the market as it continues to push the boundaries of design and technology with its automobiles.

According to a recent report by French outfit, L’Automobile, a European patent has brought to light some very rudimentary computer generated images that could potentially be a new hybrid product from the Toyota stable. The design of the car looks pretty close to the manufacturer’s Prius thus directing our thought process to a new hybrid or all-electric vehicle from Toyota.

As no announcements have yet been made by Toyota, the concept or even the minutest details of the car are still beyond the autosphere. But short and compact front end, greenhouse and rear hatch body lines and the general style makesthe car share its resemblance to a rather strange looking Toyota’s 2007 1/X concept.

According to L’Automobile, the new concept may debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month wearing a Lexus badge. Since these are few speculations made out from the available images, the design may also be that of an entirely new conventional vehicle by Toyota. Lets hope we hear some solid confirmations some time soon.
