Mark Hostler, a design student of Staffordshire University in England has created a futuristic concept for Lamborghini. 2013 marks the 50th anniversary of the Italian sports carmaker. As a tribute to Ferruccio Lamborghini, the transportation design student has created the Lamborghini Ferruccio Concept. The new concept by Mark Hostler is to directly compete with against Lamborghini’s Italian rival’s Ferrari Enzo.
The design concept takes inspiration cues from the lineup of V12s including Countach, Miura, Aventador and the extremely limited Reventon. Hostler created the Ferruccio’s front end, bonnet and super-wide rear end to mimic the Countach. The front and rear wings reflect the Miura. The sharp nose and mirrors and the aggressive air intakes across the body and roof are inspired from the current Lamborghini design language.
The designer, Mark hostler said, “The Ferruccio is a car designed to showcase both the past and future of Lamborghini, showing how new design and technologies blend seamlessly with the company’s rich heritage and history.” The technological aspect comes in the form of efficient parts and pieces. The new concept was designed to use a more fuel-efficient 5.0-L V12 engine with direct injection and two turbochargers.
