Mike D – The Beastie Boy To Host Mercedes CLC Concept

Mercedes, the German automaker which is getting ready for the New York Auto Show has officially confirmed that it will show something known as the “Concept Style Coupe” at an art, music, film and food festival in LA curated by none other than Mike D of the Beastie Boys. Latest report reveal that the new model is all set to debut during the Transmission LA: AV CLUB art and music festival.

Mike D of the pioneering hip hop group, Beastie Boy, will curate a 17-day festival at the Geffen Contemporary in Downtown L.A. Hosted by The Avant/Garde Diaries, a global online interview magazine, and under the creative direction of Mike D, “Transmission LA: AV Club” will serve as a platform for an exciting array of installations and exhibitions showcasing the innovative perspectives of visionary artists in the fields of music, food, film, fashion and art. The festival will take place from 20th April to 6th May and will feature exhibitions, concerts, DJ nights, performances and art installations all projected to show how various audio and visual art forms can blend into one event and create something unique.

“I’m psyched to be presenting a group of visual artists, musicians, DJs, food masters, and top notch baristas. I’m honored to be a part of a truly memorable sensory experience,” said Mike D. The debut of the first time Concept Style Coupe (what Mercedes-Benz calls) will be the highlight of this music festival. The company, however, strongly believes that the world premiere of the new concept will be the new entry level compact sedan (four-door coupe) speculatively dubbed the CLC/CLA. Entry to Transmission LA: AV CLUB is free.
