New Details of Volvo XC90 Revealed
Even though several rumors have been emerged regarding the next-generation XC 90, the new details, which came out recently have something special, according to sources close to the automaker. As per the reports, the new model crossover will be the firm’s very first vehicle to be developed on the Scalable Platform Architecture (SPA). Apart from XC90, other models such as S60, V70, XC60 and S80 would also support the same platform.
The Volvo XC90 will be powered by a four-cylinder VEA (Volvo Environmental Architecture) engines which the company assures to be lighter, powerful and more fuel-efficient than the existing collection of six-cylinder engines. The vehicle will be offered in both petrol and diesel options, but there is also a chance to produce a plug-in hybrid variant as the demand for such vehicles are high.
It seems Volvo will probably introduce an XC30 to niche beneath the forthcoming XC40, and is expected to be based on another automaker’s platform. The vehicle could arrive by mid-decade if the automaker gets a perfect partner within the next year. Besides, Volvo has decided to offer V40 exclusively for the car lovers in the United States. The company has not made their word on the launch date, but you people expect the vehicle soon. If it happens, the V40 would be an entry-level model in one of the world’s largest markets.
