Russian Publication Unveils Images of the Audi A3

Images of the much awaited Audi A3 have been leaked out by a Russian publication, revealing the car in its full glory. The German auto maker has planned to debut the new model at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in the next month.

The Audi A3’s interior images have already been displayed at the Consumers Electronic Show that was held during the beginning of this year. Now, Audi enthusiasts are very excited to see the exterior features of the vehicle. The model comes with a three-door hatch back. It is reported that it will be immediately followed by a five-door edition. The car looks definitely aggressive and masculine and the hexagonal grill gives an exceptional look. Apart from other exterior features, there is a pair of new LED headlights, a neatly sculpted bonnet, and stylish air vents. The Audi A3 is based on the MQB (Modular Transverse Matrix) of Volkswagen new versatile platform which is believed to become underpinnings for more than 60 models.

The engine line up of the car is still not revealed, but the car is likely to have both petrol as well as the diesel options.  The entry level of petrol engine is a 1.2-liter with a horsepower of 104 as well as a 2.0-liter engine which delivers 208 hp is also included. On the other hand, the diesel engine is expected to come as 1.6-liter that delivers 104 hp and a 2.0-liter that brings about 178 hp.

Once it is displayed at the Geneva Motor Show, it is expected go on for sales in Europe in early 2013 at first. Previously it has been reported that Audi A3 hatchback will be discontinued in the United States due to higher demands of its Americanized sedan. More details of A3 are expected to release in a couple of weeks in their official website.
