Germany’s Rotary Super Cars Hints At A Four-Rotor Predator GT
When the company first unveiled its preview of the Raptor GT last year, it was sent back to the drawing board immediately. This was because the model was accused of being a direct lift-off of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. But now, the same Germany-based company, Rotary Super Cars (RSC) is back with yet another preview.
This time around, the car has been rechristened to Predator GT. Though critics have claimed that the supercar looks a lot like a Lamborghini model, it seems like their claims can be overlooked. RSC has hinted that the car will carry a four-rotor engine associated with a total displacement of 2.6-liters. This indicates that the design will, in most probability, be a couple of two-rotor 1.3-liter 13B rotary engines from the Mazda RX8 joined on a common crankshaft. The power output will stand at 500 Horsepower for the base Predator GT-S model, while the figure will reach 1,200 in the GT-RSR. The Predator GT will come accessorised with an eight-speed sequential manual gearbox and carbon fiber construction, thanks to which the car will weigh in at just 2,425 pounds. This also translates as a 0-60 mph acceleration in less than 3 seconds in top end models.
Rotary Super Cars intends to produce the vehicle in four different variants – Predator GT-S, Predator GT-RS, Predator GT-RSR and Predator GT Clubsport. The GT Clubsport will be a hardcore race version designed strictly for track use. For now, no date has been announced for the launch of the vehicle, though the company has confirmed that a prototype is in the works.
