The Saturn Flextreme is a concept that rose out of the collaboration of the  Saturn company and the European Opel brand of General Motors. The notable feature of the Flextreme is the use of lightweight materials.  Each part of the frame work is aerodynamically built. The car has light alloy  wheels which help keep out air turbulence. The Flex has a short hood, owing  to the extended windshield design. Transparent polycarbonate material covers  the front grille and the rims. Cameras take the place of side-view mirrors.  The car has hind tail gate Flex doors with butterfly styling. A Flex-load underfloor luggage compartment provides enough space for cargo. The windows, the windshield and a lion’s share of the roof are in lightweight polycarbonate  material.

The Flextreme has Flex-doors that open upwards, about the vehicle’s axis. The car features easy entry, easy exit doors at the rear. The electronically retracting Flex load compartment enables easy loading and unloading of  cargo. The Flextreme uses a battery powered electric motor. This motor can give up to  34 miles of emission-free ride. The engine in the Flextreme is a 1.3 L, turbo-diesel  engine. This engine provides a total ride length of 444 miles.

The interior of the Flextreme features several new inclusions. The display on the center console with touch-screen facility is one of them. The quick-access buttons provide one-touch  entry to  utilities like air conditioning and navigation . It is  to be noted that gear selection is also through touch screen facility.

By the looks of it, Saturn Flextreme, with its luxury features and futuristic design will be a revelation in the market.
