2010 Chevrolet Equinox, Ford Fusion Hybrid and Ford Taurus SHO Wins Urban Wheel Awards

The 2010 Chevrolet Equinox has won the Urban Truck of the Year Award at the 14th Annual Urban Wheel Awards conducted by On Wheels Media. The Equinox beat out the Dodge Ram HD and the GMC Terrain to win the Urban Truck of the year award. Other winners at this years awards include the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid that won the Urban Vehicle Car of the Year award, by beating out Toyota Prius and Volkswagen Golf TDI, and the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO, which won the Urban Car of the Year award, by beating out the Buick LaCrosse and Suzuki Kizashi.
The winners for this years awards were selected by a panel of 15 automotive journalists from a wide range of media outlets. The awards will be presented at the Sound Board Theater, located in the Motor City Hotel and Casino in Detroit, on January 12, 2010 as part of the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The award ceremony will be preceded by the Urban Wheel Awards (UWA) gala event which will be attended by over 2,000 auto executives, media, suppliers, dealers, celebrities, and community leaders.
