2010 Honda Odyssey Advertisement Goes at the Younger Hearts
Honda seem’s to have pulled a nice little trick out of their hat this time round – thanks to the creative genius of Salvador Veloso and Marco Vega from Concept Cafe, a Miami based advertising firm. Unlike the usual minivan ads that proclaim the ever so common features that now make up the standard minivan, the new 2010 Honda Odyssey TV ad actually reaches out to its target audience, and plays a little ‘mind game’.
“Imagined by them, brought to life by us.” proclaims the ad.
In a country where kids spend the equivalent of nearly 30 days in a year within the limited comfort of a vehicle, the new 2010 Honda Odyssey advertisement calls out to the parents by saying that “this minivan is not only practical; it is a place for your children to flourish.“ This engrossing animated film brings to life the joy and happiness that parents have come to expect of the children in a safe and comfortable environment, while also allowing them to exercise their creative freedom.
The ad features a bunch of animated “beings” makings its way to the driveway and going straight to work at building the new Honda Odyssey. They can be seen building everything from the steering wheel to the gear knob, the instrumentation panel, the navigation system. The youthfulness in the ad is summed up towards then end when a little girl walks up to the minivan and smiles when she see’s the last of the “beings” all scared and melting into the roof of the car.
“We spent a long time researching the target consumer of the Honda Odyssey. We spoke with groups of parents and their children but only the children spoke really passionately about the minivan. To them, the minivan is a playing space, a chatting room, a cinema, a lab, a place where they live great adventures,” said Vega.
