The 2011 Challenger will be at 500HP, no?

  2. RealityCheck, December 22, 2009:

Yes the Challenger/300C and possibly the SRT Jeep will all have a VVT 6.4 (392) making 505HP. The LX SRT will have the WA580 dual cluth transmission. If the 6.4L Hemi responds like the new 5.7L Hemi with DOHC/VVT nothing will touch the Hemi.

505 hp huh? thats still 35 less than the current shelby. i think the mustang crowd has nothing to worry about.

LMAO at the MOPAR comments….Theres been NO OFFICIAL release on any future high performance Mopars. Why? Because it is Government owned. If you dreamers actually think the Gov. is going to sign off on your dreams, roll over and have your b/f pinch you again. Read up on your consumer reports and see where ANY Dodge ranks. Fact. Another fact. No more GTO, no more Trans am/Firebirds, Camaro was cancelled all because the Mustang handed their A** to them, not vice versa Einstein.

I’m hanging tough for the 2012. New styling, new chassis, and from the looks of it even more performance!

And I agree with Miller. That 540 horsepower will keep the Mustang enthusiasts happy ( and ahead he he ! )

Goota luv the kiddies thinking the Mustang is at a disadvantage to Dodge. Hey kids, the Challenger/300 is a heck of a lot heavier than the Mustang GT. Consequently, the Mustang has a better power to weight ratio.
