2011 Nissan Navara and Pathfinder Get Major Redesigning
Nissan has announced the complete details and images of the 2011 Nissan Navara and the 2011 Nissan Pathfinder, with both the models getting a major facelift this time. Nissan claims that the Navara has been the best-selling pickup in Europe since its arrival. Nissan wants the success story to keep going by providing a more attractive look to the its SUV sibling. Apart from the already popular facelift change, both the vehicles are getting major changes in their interiors, exteriors and engines.
Both the 2011 Nissan Navara and Pathfinder get a new front bumper, revised grille and a new bonnet. Adding to this design, they also get Xenon lamps, 18 inch alloy wheels and a new side molding across the doors. The front bumper adds an extra 80 mm to both vehicles. The rear bumper has also been refashioned differently.
Among the interior alterations are revised door trims, comfortable arm rests and door mats, new dials, chrome highlights and a new all-wheel drive command control switch for the Pathfinder. Also, a Nissan Connect Premium with a new high resolution touch screen satellite navigation system, a 40 GB hard drive, and an optional Bose sound system.
Nissan has partnered with Renault to create a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine. The engine produces raw power of 170 KW and peak torque of 406 pound feet. The safety system in both the cars has been revamped. Both the cars have been modified to deliver better performance, better fuel economy and low levels of emission.
Nissan has not left any stone unturned to introduce a huge number of modifications other than the facelift in both the cars. Want to know about some more changes? Okay, here it goes. For the Navara models, they are – new seat fabric, power folded door mirrors, telescopic headlamp washers, new instrument cluster and console box, speed limiter and heated front seats. For the Pathfinder model- telescopic headlamp washers, rear A/C with new controller, wood-finished console and speed limiter.
Both the cars will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2010. Sales in Europe start in April. Sales of model fitted with V6 diesel engines start around June.
