The 2011 Nissan Rogue compact crossover has received a subtle face-lift as it prepares to go on sale at Nissan dealerships nationwide, beginning August 13th. Unveiled on July 31st at the 23rd Annual International Z Car Convention (an event that celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Nissan Z Car) in Nashville, Nissan Rogue has been refreshed inside out.

Amongst the modest exterior changes are new front fascia and grille, new front and rear spoilers, new chrome side door guard molding trim accents, new front and rear tire deflectors and a new chrome license plate finisher. inside the SUV has been tweaked with some audio and entertainment system enhancements.

While the powertrain still remains the same as 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, fuel economy has improved by 1 mpg for both Highway driving (FWD models) and City (AWD models).  The new EPA estimates are 22/28 mpg City/Highway for Rogue FWD and 22/26 mpg City/Highway for Rogue AWD. Also available as an option are Nissan’s advanced Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

For the 2011 model year, the Nissan Rogue will be offered in two trim levels, S and SV, along with the special edition Rogue S with its more aggressive styling , new front grille and bumper with fog lights, unique rear fascia, sport-tuned exhaust, integrated body-colored rear spoiler, body colored power outside mirrors and 18-inch wheels and tires. All will be available with all-wheel-drive.
