2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran Unveiled; Priced at €27,700
Volkswagen, the German car manufacturer, added a new member to the cross lifestyle family of vehicles. The company unveiled the 2011 Volkswagen CrossTouran. This new addition follows the CrossPolo and CrossGolf, that the company launched earlier in the year.
The CrossTouran features a traditional design, and comes with a complete road kit that includes longer suspension springs from which it gets 20 millimeters more ground clearance when compared to the standard model.
This new multi-purpose vehicle or MUV comes with 215 tires at the front and 235 at the rear, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The differentiated front and rear bumpers and the black grained protective strips on the doors gives the car a sporty character.
The new 2011 CrossTouran boasts of features like a roof rack in matt aluminum, decorative trim in stainless steel look, electric windows front and rear, extra comfortable seats in the front with height adjustment and lumbar support, leather steering wheel plus leather trim on the gear-lever knob and handbrake and a special seat cover pattern.
Along with the familiar TSI and TDI engines, the German automaker has introduced an EcoFuel natural gas engine for the new CrossTouran. The company added that the fuel consumption when driving on natural gas is 4.8 kg/100km with CO2 emissions of 133 g/km. The new MUV also has additional natural gas tanks located beneath the floor, which does not affect the cargo capacity.
This new addition to the Cross lifestyle family can now be ordered in Europe at a starting price of €27,700.
