McLaren has announced a package of enhancements for its 2013 MP4-12C that will make the high performance sports car even more invigorating to drive. All 2012 MP4-12C’s owners are eligible for the upgrades as well. The twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 has received a 25-horsepower increase and the transmission has been tweaked to result in “crisper throttle response and improved clutch control for gear changes that are both faster and smoother. The revised model carries a $239,400 base price in the U.S., which does not include $2,400 in destination charges.

The model’s touch sensor system has been improvised and automatic headlights will now switch on along with the automatic wipers, and the automatic climate control will gain a new low setting. Other enhancements include a new Volcano Yellow paint color, a new interior trim package, a new wheel design and the Intake Sound Generator has been changed so that the driver can choose how much engine noise they’d like pumped into the cabin. The machine delivers an impressive total output of 616-horsepower .
