2013 Audi A4, S4 and Allroad wagon to be Launched in the U.S in the Summer of 2012
An update of any sort to the Audi A4 is a big deal because the luxury car has been the German automaker’s best selling model for over 39 years. For its 2013 model, Audi has equipped its A4 with revised sheetmetal and powertrains, the headlights and taillights have been reworked and highly stylized LED elements have been included. New steering wheels and a more simplified MMI infotainment system have been added to the inside cabin. While European buyers can select from a six turbodiesel and four gasoline engines, in the U.S. it’s a 2.0-liter turbocharged four or a 3.0-liter supercharged six cylinder engine, delivering up to 333 horsepower in high –performance S4 trim with an average speed of 60 mph in 5.0 seconds.
The Quattro all-wheel drive will be available across the line with a six speed manual, CVT automatic, eight speed auto or seven-speed dual- clutch gearbox. A new electromechanical power steering system is also being introduced with this model. The Audi A4, S4 models and the new A4 Allroad wagon can be expected to be launched in the U.S in the summer of 2012.
