2013 Ford Flex Gets Price Hike
The revised 2013 Ford Flex starts at $31,710, reflecting a $1,420 price increase over the base 2012 Ford Flex. The pricing also includes the $825 destination charge. The top-of-the-line 2013 Ford Flex Limited starts at $40,055 which includes shipping. It has a price increase of over $3,456 when compared to the 2012 Ford Flex Limited.
The model from 2012 which is no longer offered is the Ford Flex Titanium model. The 2012 Chevrolet Traverse undercuts the Flex by $1,375. The 2012 Traverse starts at $30,335 including $825 destination charge. The 2012 Toyota Highlander undercuts the Flex by $2,660. It starts at $29,050 including an $810 shipping charge.
The 2013 Flex, which made its world premiere at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, gets a slightly more rounded front end, new wheel styles, standard dual exhaust and an optional appearance package on Limited and SEL models that includes a two-tone black roof, 20-inch machined wheels, leather seats and special door trim panels. The 2013 Flex is powered by a 3.5-L V6 engine that delivers 25 more horsepower than the outgoing model. The EPA says the Flex with the 3.5-liter V6 engine returns 18 mpg in city driving and 25 mpg on the highway.
