2013 Volkswagen CC Gets Sporty R-line Trim

Volkswagen is all set to expand its lineup with stylish new models falling under its performance-themed ‘R-Line’ range. The latest R-line version of the updated 2013 Volkswagen CC will be heading to U.S showrooms before the end of this year. At the 2012 Leipzig Auto Show in Germany the model will be making its world debut on June 1, Unlike the company’s R range the R-line models don’t get any serious performance upgrades.

The CC R-Line model comes powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder and produces a peak output of 200 horsepower. R-Line items include an aggressively-styled front bumper with projector-style fog lamps, sporty side sills, tinted tail lamps, custom 18-inch alloy wheels and R-Line badging all ‘round. Inside, there are stainless-steel R-Line scuff plates and paddle-shifters mounted to multifunction steering wheel. Bi-xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights, rain-sensing wipers, automatic climate-control, 12-way adjustable heated and powered front seats, a touch-screen interface, an eight-speaker stereo and Bluetooth and iPod connectivity are the luxury goodies offered.

The regular model has been on sale since March and is priced from $30,250. Pricing for the new CC R-Line model will be announced closer to its launch and won’t be available for sale until later this year.
