Aston Martin One-77 Sold Out in U.S.

Aston Martin, one of the leading British automakers sold its last Aston Martin One-77 in the US, when the company released its full year results for the 12-months ending on December 31, 2011. The latest release brings an end to the exclusive 77-vehicle production run of this iconic British car. The announcement was made by Ulrich Bez — CEO of Aston Martin. The Aston Martin One-77 debuted at the 2008 Paris motor show and the vehicle combines a carbonfibre monocoque and aluminium body work with a naturally aspirated 7.3-litre V12 engine generating 559kW and 750Nm. A two-door coupe, One-77 sprint 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds with a maximum speed of 350km/h.

Aston Martin gained an increase of $122-million in projected sales since last months Geneva Motor Show, and therefore the company hopes a very bright future. Besides, Aston Martin’s 2011 earnings announcement publicized that the automaker’s $815 million in its income, which is an increase of seven per cent compared to 2010.

“Our 2011 results demonstrate the energy, passion and ongoing resilience of Aston Martin – a truly unique, independent manufacturer. We are on track with our expansion plans around the world, especially in China, and are investing in new models,” said ADr. Ulrich Bez.

“The Aston Martin brand is stronger than ever. This is demonstrated by intense interest in the new V12 Zagato, recently shown at the Geneva Motor Show, and our $1.93-million One-77 supercar – all 77 of which are now sold,” he added.
