Aston Martin Teams with John Lobb to Design Special Driving Shoes

Looks like British automaker Aston Martin figured out that for their customers to look the part while driving their GTs they had to come up with driving shoes themselves. Winner Sport is a joint design effort between Aston Martin design director Marek Reichman and his counterpart Andrés Hernández at John Lobb. This lightweight driver’s shoe is crafted around John Lobb’s 8695 last and made from full-grain calfskin and lined with supple sheepskin. Unlike the more formal John Lobb shoes these have unique bonded rubber soles (in white or red with co ordinating laces) that wrap underneath for better pedal contol. Soft padding has been added at the ankle for comfort, and the wheel of metallic eyelets, reflect the automotive design cues of Aston Martin.

Available in Graphite Grey, Winter Wheat, Frost White, Saddle Tan, Storm Black, Bitter Chocolate, Westminster Green and Aurora Blue these aerodynamic shoes will be previewed at the opening of the new Aston Martin W-One Store in London’s Park Lane and at John Lobb Jermyn Street in March this year. Later in May Winner Sport will be available at select John Lobb and Aston Martin stores worldwide.
