Bentley has spilled the beans on the 2012 Continental GTC prior to its world premiere at the forthcoming 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show that features subtle modifications to the engine as well as styling.

The 2012 Bentley Continental GTC is powered by 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 FlexFuel engine that is capable of churning out 575 PS (567 bhp/423kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is incorporated to a ZF Quickshift transmission that can shift torque from all-wheel-drive toward the rear on a 40:60 bias. In fact, the Bentley Continental GTC takes a mere 4.5 secs to go from 0 to 60 mph and 10.9 secs to go from 0 to100 mph. Top speed of the vehicle is 195 mph (314 km/h).

As for the exterior, the 2012 GTC gets a more dynamic appearance, upright grille, jewelled headlamps with daytime-running LEDs and standard 20-inch wheels (two styles of 21-inch wheels are optional). The forthcoming version is also lighter by 150 lbs. compared to the prior one. Also, the 2012 Continental GTC gets widened front and rear tracks, revised suspension as well as sharper steering.

The interior has more rear legroom as well as a Bentley-designed neck warmer, touchscreen-based infotainment system and new storage solutions. There is to be a choice of 17 standard soft-touch leather hide colors, six color split combinations and seven veneers when equipping the handcrafted interior of the new Bentley Continental GTC.

Meanwhile, the 2012 Bentley Continental GTC gets a price tag of $212,800 (GBP 149,350 in UK and EUR 170,060 in Europe). It can be ordered now and deliveries are expected to commence in late 2011.
