BMW Expected to Launch an M7 Model Soon
For a very long time, the Alpina B7 has been the sportiest 7 series in the U.S and offered through BMW dealers. The automaker is now not officially committing to an M7 but Willisch, CEO of BMW North America, is quite certain about the model’s prospects. The company apparently is looking to expand its high-performance brand-within-a-brand even as it is trying to launch sales of its new M6 model. Willisch has said that the company will eventually make extensive use of strong and lightweight carbon fiber, even with best-sellers such as the 3-Series.
Willisch is pretty enthusiastic about expanding the high-performance sub-brand’s reach and is pressing corporate headquarters in Munich to also add an M7 model. He has also ruled out the possibility of there being an M version for all BMW models.
