“Excited” – Ross Brawn Quotes about Michael Schumacher’s Inclusion to Mercedes
In a posting on Mercedes’s press release pages, Ross Brawn says that he is excited about the all-German duo of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg, and that he believes that they have something different to offer for the 2010 Formula One season. Brawn used to serve as the technical director for Benetton and Ferrari in the past, while currently he serves as the team principal for Mercedes which took over Brawn GP earlier in 2009.
“I believe that we now have the most exciting partnership in Formula One with Michael and Nico, who provide the perfect mix of talent, experience, speed and youth. With two such exciting drivers, we have all of the building blocks in place to have another successful season in 2010.”, quoted Brawn.
Michael Schumacher, undoubtedly a legend in his own terms, has picked up over 91 titles and 154 podium finishes in 248 starts. Meanwhile, Rosberg, finished seventh in last years championship, and has 2 podium finishes in 70 starts. It was only earlier this week that Brawn GP has announced that Michael Schumacher would be returning to the 2010 Formula One season. It is believed that the deal was signed for around $10 million.
