Fiat Reveals 2012 500 Abarth Pricing Details
Italian carmaker Fiat has revealed that the 2012 500 Abarth will be available at a price range starting from $22,000. This makes it a whole $7,000 more expensive than the car’s base MSRP, and still higher than the open-air 500C which is priced at $19,500 onwards. The new 500 Abarth certainly packs a chunk for all that extra amount you end up paying for it.
Fiat’s turbocharged 1.4-liter MultiAir engine takes up space under the hood, all the while producing 160 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. All this burst of power is tunneled via a five-speed manual transmission. Other upgrades include improved suspension and brakes, 16-inch wheels and dual exhaust system.
Though the Fiat 500 Abarth is currently the smallest in its class, but it is interesting to note that the vehicle has the highest weight-to-power ratio. At the moment, the Fiat hatch is the least priced from the league of extraordinary hatches. The price of the 500 Abarth includes an admission to the Abarth Driving Experience hosted by The Richard Petty Driving Experience.
