Ford is back with yet another innovation – the whole new three blink indicator technology, where with a single flick, the turn indicator will blink three times and will terminate automatically. This means holding down the switch is no more pain. The technology will be first introduced in Ford Fiesta, that made it’s debut at the LA Auto Show recently, and goes on sale in summer of 2010. According to the Ford blog, the 2011 Ford Super Duty also features the single-tap three blink indicator technology.
The system was first introduced more than a decade ago, and the system resembles what has been used by BMW for years. However, Ford is the leading brand to introduce this technology in North America. This system will help the drivers to avoid the annoying false alarms, when they forget to turn the indicator off after changing the course and therefore concentrate more on their driving. The self cancel feature is going to help a lot, and thanks to ford, no more irritating false alarms for the fellow motorists!
