Ford Unveils New Colors for 2013 Shelby GT350
The 2013 Shelby GT350 will be offered in a variety of colors along with a few new options. The new color options, visual styling cues and optional performance upgrades will distinguish the new model from the previous models. The 2013 Shelby GT350 will be available as either a coupe or convertible in the entire color palette offered by Ford Motor Company on the Mustang. “The Shelby GT350 is one of the world’s most celebrated and iconic modern muscle cars,” said John Luft, president of Shelby American. “For the third model year of the contemporary Shelby GT350, we’ve further refined the car with options and equipment requested by enthusiasts. The Shelby American team is following Carroll Shelby’s playbook to continue building high performance cars and parts designed to keep our customers at the front of the fast lane.”
The updated model features Recaro seats, a new rear valence, restyled wheels and an extended color palette. The car can also be equipped with an optional panoramic glass roof. For the very first time, the Shelby GT350 can be ordered in any one of the Ford Mustang’s colors including Grabber Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, Gotta Have It Green, Candy Red Tint Coat Metallic, Ingot Silver Metallic, Deep Impact Blue Metallic, Race Red, Performance White and Black. It also offers the option of Satin Black or Gloss White Stripes as well as a choice of new wheels in the Satin Black or Bright Silver Metallic.
The Shelby GT350 is powered by the 5.0-L V8 engine that delivers 430 hp. The engine can also be equipped with a supercharger that enables it to develop 525 hp or 624 hp. A six-speed manual is standard while a six-speed automatic is optional on cars equipped with naturally-aspirated V8. Customers can also order a one-piece driveshaft, a cold air intake, high performance brakes and a color-coordinated billet aluminum engine cap set. The production will be limited to 350 units and the pricing starts at $26,995 not including the base price of the Ford Mustang.
