Lamborghini Aventador to Feature Removable Two-piece Carbon Fiber Hardtop
After a small gap, the Lamborghini Aventador tops the headlines of the auto news industry, this time with its two-piece carbon fiber hardtop. Reportedly, the top version of the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster will feature a targa-style carbon fiber roof. Earlier, the EPA’s fueleconomy.gov site had posted the miles per gallon figures for the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster – confirming the existence of the car. The news regarding the all new super car from Lamborghini has been reported by the Italian magazine Quattroruote, which says the Aventador will be a targa-top type of open-air fun.
Powered by a a 6.5L V12 engine producing 690-hp and 509 lb-ft of torque, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is combined with the firm’s new ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) 7-speed transmission. The vehicle will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph. The Aventador is an all-wheel-drive supercar courtesy of Lamborghini’s Haldex 4-wheel drive system and the prices start north of $375,000.
