Lexus Announced Prices for ES 350 and ES 300h
Lexus has just announced the pricing details of its forthcoming 2013 Lexus ES 350 luxury sedan and the ES 300h hybrid sedan. Both the models are all set to hit dealerships next month. The 2013 Lexus ES 300h is the first ever hybrid sedan developed by the automaker, and the prices for the car starts at $38,850, which includes an $895 shipping charge. The 2013 Lexus ES 300h, meanwhile, made its public debut in April and it will be the least expensive premium hybrid in the brand’s lineup. Meanwhile, the price for the new 2013 Lexus ES 350 will start at $36,100, including shipping charge.
Moving to the powertrain details, the new 2013 Lexus ES 300h will be powered by a 2.5 liter 5-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine that pulls out around 200-hp with an EPA-rated fuel-economy of 40/39 (city/highway) or 40 mpg combined. Powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine that delivers 268-hp and 248 lb-ft of torque, the 2013 Lexus ES 350 is mated to a 6-speed sequential-shift automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i). The engine bears an EPA fuel-economy of 21/31 mpg or 24 mpg combined. The upcoming models from Lexus houses a Drive Mode Selector that offers Normal, Eco and Sport driving modes. Besides, the vehicles are set with an array of standard and optional equipments such as Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) and Pre-Collision System (PCS).
Apart from these features, the models also offer Lexus Safety Connect features that are exclusively designed for the safety of the vehicles. It includes Enhanced Roadside Assistance, an Emergency Assistance Button (SOS), Stolen Vehicle Location services, and Automatic Collision Notification. For those, who are interested in the interior features, Lexus won’t let you down – the premium sound system has -speakers with Automatic Sound Levelizer, CD player, USB/iPod connectivity and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. Other features include Bluetooth audio, automatic phone book transfer, a vehicle information display and a rear backup camera. So it is obvious that Lexus comes with extra styling tweaks.
