Last week, we were all made aware that the Lexus LFA equipped with an optional Nurburgring Package had completed the lap at Nurburgring in a blazingly fast 7:14.464. However, right until now, we were not given access to a video of the supercar performing the act. Lexus today satisfied our inquisitive nerves by releasing a video of the act.

Lexus got Japanese racecar driver, Akira Iida, a veteran at endurance racing to steer the LFA Nurburgring Edition. This model claims a 10 hp performance improvement over the standard LFA, while also managing to reduce the shift time down by 0.15 seconds.

The Lexus LFA Nurburgring Edition outpaced the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (7:18), Dodge Viper ACR (7:22.1), and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (7:19.63) to become the fastest production vehicle to complete the lap at Nurburgring. However if you want to get your hands over a LFA Nurburgring Edition, be ready to shell out an additional $70,000 over the $375,000 sticker price of the standard LFA.
