Lexus LS F Sport Previewed in New Video
Lexus UK has revealed an official video of the facelifted LS in the form of the previously unconfirmed Lexus LS F Sport and the first look of the car seems elegant. A front-on picture of the sports-themed limousine is artfully embedded in a video of the new Lexus RX450h, which was publicized at the 2012 Geneva motor show. The upgraded version of Lexus LS will feature a bold chrome construal of the brands belligerent new ‘spindle grille’ as well as modified headlights and a redesigned front bumper. Apart from these features the LS F Sport gets a diamond-pattern mesh grille and similar to the other F Sport variants in the line-up it is expected to score few more styling tweaks including a unique headlight design, sporty alloy wheels, larger front air intakes, and other sporting tweaks to the chassis, suspension and interior.
Even though it is a low-resolution image, the blue shade around the Lexus badge indicates this as the LS600hL F Sport model. In its existing figure, the top-spec LS600hL is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine with a hybrid system to generate 327kW of power and 520Nm of torque. Lexus will almost definitely make the F Sport package accessible on its non-hybrid LS460 model, which currently generates 280kW and 493Nm from its 4.6-litre V8. Although the image appeared in an official Lexus video, the Japanese manufacturer remains silent on its plans for the sporty LS F Sport and has made no statement about an update to its flagship LS line-up at this stage.
Other models of Lexus will espouse the updated styling in the coming months; however, with the GS, RX and LX ranges all set to be refreshed by the middle of this year.
