Lotus has announced the official pricing of the American version of the Lotus Evora. The Evora sports car will be priced at $73,500 and will enter the U.S. showrooms in the first quarter of 2010. The British car maker has provided a complete package of style and performance for that price.

The Evora’s Standard features include Hydraulically-assisted power steering, Recaro black leather sport seats, air-conditioning, Bi-Xenon headlights with headlight washing system, silver cast alloy wheels with 18” in the front and 19” in the back, rear wing and diffuser, Lotus command center with trip computer, Alpine CD/MP3/WMA/AUX system with iPod connectivity and much more.

There are a series of packages for buyers to opt for like the $1,990 Premium Package which adds more style to the Evora. Next is the $1,275 Sports Package which enhances its sporty outlooks and performance. The last is the most expensive $2,995 Technology Package which brings in almost all the tech-gadgets required. The car will also have a 3-year/36,000-mile limited vehicle warranty and an 8-year chassis perforation warranty.

The Lotus Evora will be unique being the only mid-engine and 2-plus-2 configuration sports car in production. It is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing a power of 276-hp hp at 6400 rpm and a torque of 258 lb-ft at 4700 rpm. The Evora features a lightweight chassis technology which makes it even faster. It accelerates from standstill to 60 miles per hour in just 4.9 seconds and attains a Top speed of 162 mph. All this is along with a fuel economy of 30 miles per gallon (highway).

On the inside, the Evora will boast the finest leather from renowned Muirhead hand-trimmed and twin-stitched. The center console is in aluminum and the leather steering wheel decorates the driver side. Both the driver and the passengers can feel comfortable in the Recaro seats. Lotus said in the release that Evora is for those who desire exotic sports car characteristics with a stunning design, dramatic proportions and performance. It also offers real-world usability, amazing efficiency and a distinctive sense of occasion as well.
