Maserati is celebrating six years of the Quattroporte’s road journey, with the debut of a special edition version of the Quattroporte Sport GT S, at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show next month.

Known as the Quattroporte Sport GT S “Awards Edition”, the model offers luxury and performance amalgamated in the most perfect combination. With a very special paint job called the Quarzo fuso, the special edition Maserati features a pearlescent metallic grey color along with a fabulous exterior that includes chrome trims on the side air vents and radiator, 20-inch Multi Trident dark grey rims in satin finish and special Brembo brakes with hand-polished calipers at all four corners.

For the luxury treat from the 56-award winner (automotive and “lifestyle” publications), the special Maserati boasts of Poltrona Frau leather/Alcantara seats, an Alcantara headliner, special brushed aluminium door sills and Piano Black satin-finish wood moldings.

Lifting the hood reveals a 4.7-liter V8 that produces 433 bhp (323 kW/439 PS) and 489 Nm of torque. The car sprints from 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, with a top speed of 177 mph (285 km/h).

All the Quattroporte Sport GT S ‘Awards Edition’ models will get a series-plate and will be available in the UK as a special order in the second half of 2010.
