Maserati Gran Turismos Recalled Over Faulty Rear Lights

Maserati has issued a recall for its Gran Turismos and Gran Turismo convertibles over faulty tail and break lights.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 1,883 GranTurismos and GranTurismo convertibles in the U.S. and Canada have been recalled by the company. As explained on the NHTSA in the recall summary, “Due to a faulty lamp assembly, the rear lights (both tail and brake) may fail.” The agency added that the Tail and/or brake lamp failure could lead to reduced vehicle visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
As a remedy, rear tail lamp assemblies in the affected vehicle will be replaced at the Maserati dealerships.
The affected vehicles include the Gran Turismos and Gran Turismo convertibles manufactured between June 2008 and March 2010. Maserati said that the information about the problem was noted via field reports and warranty claims.
The recall is expected to begin sometime this month. The owner of the affected vehicles may contact Maserati at 1-201-816-2600 or the NHTSA 1-888-327-4236.
