Mitsubishi Outlander Hybrid Coming In April 2013
Off late, Mitsubishi has been taking all efforts possible to go green on its vehicles. With a wide range of vehicles already sitting in its garage, the latest one to join the lineup is a plug-in hybrid version of the Mitsubishi Outlander. This green version of the Outlander is to be unveiled in April 2013.
As a step towards the cause,Mitsubishi had already introduced its PX-MiEV II Concept at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show .The vehicle Makes use of a hybrid powertrain which comprises of a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine and two 60 kW(81hp) electric motors. The company claims that the PX-MiEV II offers an impressive driving range of 800km (500miles) with each liter of fuel providing a range of 60 km on an average.
Mitsubishi has also expressed its intention to introduce an all electric light truck.This truck will primarily be meant for short distance commercial activities.Details about the truck are limited at the moment,however ,the vehicle is expected to make its first appearance by 2016.
