Motorcycles have been the top choice of the youngsters as it matches their fervor and enthusiasm, while adventurous adults too haven’t shirked away from owning one as they ride through the dust. The economic downturn may have affected the complete world but it failed to subside the passion of manufacturers and consumers of some of the best motorcycles out there. As 2009 draws to an end and many new motorcycles drove the road to glory, here are the winners awarded by MotorcycleUSA.com.
Best Sportbike: Honda CBR1000RR
Winning consecutively for past two years the CBR1000RR again steals away the show with its all new 999 cc (61.0 cu in) inline-four engine with a redline of 13,000 rpm. The Big Dog Wolf has a 4.25-inch square bore that offers 1976cc of power. 9 1/2 feet long ProStreet is a high-performance, high style package that features the largest S&S X-Wedge mill of 121ci.
Best Street Bike: Triumph Street Triple R
Giving Daytona 675 a tough fight, Triumph has finally won the title with all accessories added to its style. From having a 675 cc 3-cylinder engine, to a racetrack-spec chassis complete with suspension and brakes, the Triumph Street Triple R has the potential to, as MotorycleUSA puts it “do some serious damage to your driving record“.
Best Touring Motorcycle: BMW K1300GT
One of the most powerful motorcycle with the engine that provides an output of 118 kW (160 hp),together with maximum torque of 135 Newton-meters (99 lb-ft) provides the maximum dexterity and sporting riding dynamics along with the ideal package for distant and ling tours.
Best Off-Road Motorcycle: Husaberg FE 450
Quick-handling and easy-to-ride attitude makes Husaberg FE 450 indisputably a trail bike that is equipped with a 70 degree cylinder and repositioned crank.
Best Dual Sport Motorcycle: Kawasaki KLX250S
KLX250S has been a top choice of the motorcyclists as its comfortable, versatile for transportation or play and also within the pocket reach to own and maintain. The enhanced bike now features an updated braking system, smoother engine, more comfortable seat, and a new exterior design.
Best Motocross Motorcycle: Kawasaki KX450F

The 449cc liquid-cooled, four-stroke single with DOHC and four valves offer versatility as they need not be adjusted for track and climate conditions.
Best Adventure Motorcycle and the Motorcycle of the year : BMW F800GS
F800GS is a new Enduro model with a sturdy steel tube frame that allows a steering lock of 42 degrees, a rigid upside-down fork with 230 mm spring travel, a sturdy aluminum double-strut swing arm,a 21-inch front wheel and the engine provides a 85 HP at 7,500 RPM and at 5,750 RPM it sends 61 pounds-feet of torque to the sliding bearing based crankshaft.
