The popular racing video game Need For Speed has announced the return of Ferrari cars to its lineup after a long gap of eight years. NFS fans will be pleased to see the return of the prancing stallions since their last appearance in 2002’s NFS: Hot Pursuit 2. This move will be currently exclusive to XBOX 360 owners only.

The publishers of the game, Electronic Arts, has announced the return of the legendary automakers in their latest game Need For Speed: Shift. The Ferrari racing pack can be downloaded for $10 or 800 Microsoft points (Need for Speed: Shift and Xbox LIVE account needed). The 10 cars included in the Ferrari racing series are:

To add more fun to this news, EA Sports has a new set of racing events for you that lets you compete against other Ferraris:

1. Ferrari Race Exhibition – Four single race events
2. Ferrari Time Challenge – Hot Lap – Four single time attack events.
3. Ferrari Mixed Track Competition – Four series events consisting of two races at multi layout tracks.
4. Ferrari Time Challenge – Time Attack – Four single time attack events.
5. Ferrari Series Competition – Three series events consisting of five races.
6. Ferrari Eliminator Competition – Four eliminator based events (2 Lap eliminator and 2 Time eliminator).
7. Ferrari Endurance Competition – Two single endurance events.
8. Ferrari World Tour – A single race series consisting of 5 races.
