Nissan Celebrates the 40th Anniversary with 370Z Black Edition

There is lot of anniversary celebration going on in the motor world and companies are rolling out new models and limited edition cars as a part of their festive mood. While we have already heard from Mazda and Italian car manufacturer Pininfarina, the Japanese automaker Nissan is also rejoicing the 40 years of its Z-car with the Nissan 370Z Black Edition.

The manufacturer has announced the delivery of 370 coupe units to European shores by April. Offered in two metallic shades, black and quartz, the car will drive on 19-inch forged aluminum RAYS wheels housing a set of red brake calipers and an anniversary emblem. The interiors have been given red leather and suede with logos and badging on the seats. The red stitching highlights the dark grey leather-wrapped steering wheel and the center stack. Nissan’s Connect Premium touchscreen satellite navigation system in the car comes integrated with audio controls and USB connectivity.

The car boasts of 323-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine, mated to six-speed manual or automatic transmissions sprinting the car to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds with an electronically-limited 155mph top speed.

The  Nissan 370Z Black Edition will make its U.S. debut at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show next week dubbed as 40th Anniversary Z. For the European market, the pricing range may fall between $52,800 for the manual and $55,000 for the automatic.
