Europe’s second biggest car maker Peugeot is preparing to reveal an array of exciting vehicles at the 63rd Frankfurt motor show in September. It will introduce two new product models along with two new concept vehicles displaying its Hybrid4 technology. The new RCZ sports coupe and the 5008 minivan will appear as production models for the first time. A concept car of RCZ carrying Peugeot’s new HYbrid4 gasoline-electric, hybrid system will also be unveiled along with a 3008, crossover concept vehicle using HYbrid4 diesel-electric system. The RCZ Hybrid vehicle is strictly a concept at the moment, but a production version might be out in the next decade. A production version of the 3008 hYbrid4 will be launched by 2011.

Peugeot’s new HYbrid4 system in 3008 crossover utilizes a diesel-electric engine attributing to the European markets propensity to diesel cars. It makes use of the new fuel sipping HDi diesel engine. The third version is a 2.0-liter turbo diesel. 6-Speed manual transmission is available with all the versions. 6- speed automatic is optional in the 1.6-liter 156 hp version. The original 308 is one of the most versatile vehicles in the Peugeot’s lineup. It comes as a three and five-door hatchbacks, a wagon, as well as a stylish hard-top convertible. However, the new RCZ will be the most exciting version of the lot with a combination of dynamic emotion, it takes driving to a new level. It will mark the start of a new chapter in Peugeot’s history. The car is a blend of invigorating styling with marvelous, charming interior.

The third vehicle, with its production vehicle to be launched in Frankfurt next month is the Peugeot 5008 minivan which is a multi purpose vehicle. The seven-seat vehicle shares quite a lot from Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, including the clever-seating arrangement, where the five rear seats fold up or down with ease. It throws four engine options- 1.6-litre(petrol) 120bhp, 1.6-litre(petrol) 156bhp,1.6-litr (diesel) 110bhp, 2.0-litre(diesel) 150bhp and 2.0-litre (diesel) 163bhp. It posseses a radical interpretation of  high-tech features like a head-up display showing distance and speed alerts, and a traction control system designed to make it easier to drive on snow. The 5008 will have an in-car WiFi access point. The system also accepts a SIM card and Internet connectivity will be available either at a standstill or on the move. The 5008 will be on sale in the UK at the beginning of 2010. Price will be around £15,000.

Thus, the Frankfurt motor show in September will be a busy venue for Peugeot which is coming with a range of exiting cars much highly anticipated by the fans. New eye-catching 5008 & RCZ along with hybrid models will make their debut. Effort will be on to keep the distinction of being one of the leading manufacturers in the UK.
